How the screen shows in iOS after installation

iPhone keeps a parts history in Settings > General > About (the “Parts and Service History” section). Depending on the screen type, it may show Used or “Unknown Part”. None of these labels affect how the phone works — display, touch and all functions work normally.

Screen typeiOS statusWhat it means
InCelliOS: Unknown PartThe most affordable — LCD (not OLED) with integrated touch. Works fine, lower contrast than OLED. iOS “Unknown Part”.
OLEDiOS: Unknown PartAftermarket OLED — true OLED display (deep blacks). Does not pass configuration → iOS “Unknown Part”.
Soft OLED UsediOS: UsedA quality aftermarket OLED that passes Apple configuration → iOS “Used”. True OLED display, no warning, cheaper than original-type screens.
Refurbished originaliOS: Unknown PartAn original panel with replaced (cracked) glass — refurbished in our shop. Original display, new glass. Settings: “Unknown Part”. The most affordable original-panel option.
Original — iOS: UnknowniOS: Unknown PartThe same panel type, but it does not pass Apple configuration → “Unknown Part”. Display and touch work normally; cheaper than the Used variant.
Original — iOS: UsediOS: UsedAn original-type screen that passes Apple configuration → shows as “Used” (a pre-owned genuine part). True Tone works, no “non-genuine” warning.

iPhone 13 Pro Screen Replacement — Five Quality Levels

The iPhone 13 Pro uses ProMotion technology with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, which makes screen replacement on this model more demanding than on most iPhones. How different panels reproduce that fluidity depends directly on the quality level you choose — from an affordable solution to an original-type panel.

Available options

For the iPhone 13 Pro we offer five quality levels:

  • InCell — the most affordable option: LCD (not OLED) with integrated touch, lower contrast than OLED; iOS shows “Unknown Part”; 7-day warranty
  • OLED — aftermarket OLED with a true OLED display (deep blacks); does not pass Apple configuration, iOS shows “Unknown Part”; 7-day warranty
  • Soft OLED Used — a quality aftermarket OLED that passes Apple configuration, so iOS shows it as “Used”, with no warning; 7-day warranty
  • Original — iOS: Unknown — an original-type panel that does not pass Apple configuration, so iOS shows “Unknown Part”; display and touch work normally, cheaper than the Used variant; 90-day warranty
  • Original — iOS: Used — an original-type panel that passes Apple configuration, so iOS shows it as “Used”; True Tone works, no “non-genuine” warning; 90-day warranty

Our recommendation

The replacement takes 1 to 3 hours. You can book an appointment or come in person to Bulevar Arsenija Čarnojevića 91, apt. 3, New Belgrade.

If you want no warning in Settings, we recommend Original — iOS: Used; a more affordable choice with an original-type panel is Original — iOS: Unknown.

Frequently Asked Questions About Screen Replacement

How long does iPhone screen replacement take?

iPhone screen replacement takes 1 to 3 hours depending on the model. Devices brought in before noon are usually ready the same day. For urgent cases, call us to check part availability.

Will I lose my data during iPhone screen replacement?

No. Screen replacement does not affect your data, photos, apps, or settings on your iPhone. We never erase anything and never ask for your unlock code.

What's the difference between original and OLED screens for iPhone?

Original (Genuine Apple) screens show 'Genuine Apple' status in settings, True Tone works automatically. Soft OLED and Hard OLED are quality alternatives at a lower price — True Tone works because we transfer IC data using a programmer tool (free with replacement). Soft OLED also supports ProMotion 120Hz. InCell LCD is a budget option without True Tone, fixed at 60Hz.

Does True Tone work after iPhone screen replacement?

Yes — with both original and OLED screens (Soft OLED, Hard OLED). For OLED screens, we transfer True Tone data from the original screen using a programmer tool, included free with every replacement. Only InCell LCD screens (budget option for older models) do not support True Tone.

What is the warranty on iPhone screen replacement?

Screen replacement carries a 90-day warranty on original and premium panels. The warranty covers material and installation defects. Mechanical damage (drops, impacts) is not covered. Refurbished original screens (original panel with replaced glass) carry a 15-day warranty. Exception: aftermarket InCell and OLED panels carry a 7-day warranty due to panel fragility — they are installed only with the customer's prior consent.
