⚠️ Important when installing genuine Apple parts

Genuine Apple screens and batteries go through Apple configuration (pairing the part with the device). If a non-genuine part that did not pass configuration was previously installed on your phone, the new genuine part also will not be able to complete the configuration process.

Before installation, with your approval, we check the parts history on the device — because there is no other way to verify it without access to the phone.

How the screen shows in iOS after installation

iPhone keeps a parts history in Settings > General > About (the “Parts and Service History” section). Depending on the screen type, it may show Genuine, Used, or “Unknown Part.” None of these labels affect how the phone works — display, touch and all functions work normally.

iPhone 16 Screen Replacement — Six Quality Levels

The iPhone 16 brings the Dynamic Island, a 60 Hz OLED panel and the A18 chip in a compact format that users took to quickly. When the screen gets damaged, it's important to choose a replacement that matches your expectations and your budget. At Viper Mobile, with 22 years of experience, we offer as many as six screen replacement options for this model:

  • InCell — the most affordable option, LCD technology; solid for everyday basic use
  • OLED — an aftermarket OLED panel with better contrast and more accurate colors
  • Refurbished original — a factory screen that has been professionally restored; shows the status "Unknown" in iOS settings
  • Original — an original panel with no refurbishment; also shows the "Unknown" status in the system
  • Original with "Used" status — an original screen that iOS recognizes as a "Used Apple Part" in settings
  • Genuine Apple (new) — a completely new factory screen with full Apple compatibility

What Sets These Options Apart

The differences come down to panel technology, color accuracy, True Tone calibration support and the status iOS displays in the parts settings. Higher quality levels bring better integration with the system and longer-lasting reliability. Every replacement comes with a service certificate.

Our Expert Recommendation

An iPhone 16 screen replacement takes 1 to 3 hours, depending on part availability and the complexity of the installation. If it matters to you that the screen keeps all its factory characteristics and full system recognition, we recommend the Original with "Used" status or the Genuine Apple option. For customers looking for functionality at a more accessible price, the OLED version is an excellent compromise. Visit us at Bulevar Arsenija Čarnojevića 91/3 in New Belgrade — we'll help you choose the solution that best fits your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions About Screen Replacement

How long does iPhone screen replacement take?

iPhone screen replacement takes 1 to 3 hours depending on the model. Devices brought in before noon are usually ready the same day. For urgent cases, call us to check part availability.

Will I lose my data during iPhone screen replacement?

No. Screen replacement does not affect your data, photos, apps, or settings on your iPhone. We never erase anything and never ask for your unlock code.

What's the difference between original and OLED screens for iPhone?

Original (Genuine Apple) screens show 'Genuine Apple' status in settings, True Tone works automatically. Soft OLED and Hard OLED are quality alternatives at a lower price — True Tone works because we transfer IC data using a programmer tool (free with replacement). Soft OLED also supports ProMotion 120Hz. InCell LCD is a budget option without True Tone, fixed at 60Hz.

Does True Tone work after iPhone screen replacement?

Yes — with both original and OLED screens (Soft OLED, Hard OLED). For OLED screens, we transfer True Tone data from the original screen using a programmer tool, included free with every replacement. Only InCell LCD screens (budget option for older models) do not support True Tone.

What is the warranty on iPhone screen replacement?

Screen replacement carries a 90-day warranty on original and premium panels. The warranty covers material and installation defects. Mechanical damage (drops, impacts) is not covered. Exception: aftermarket InCell and OLED panels carry a 7-day warranty due to panel fragility — they are installed only with the customer's prior consent.
