⚠️ Important when installing genuine Apple parts

Genuine Apple screens and batteries go through Apple configuration (pairing the part with the device). If a non-genuine part that did not pass configuration was previously installed on your phone, the new genuine part also will not be able to complete the configuration process.

Before installation, with your approval, we check the parts history on the device — because there is no other way to verify it without access to the phone.

How the screen shows in iOS after installation

iPhone keeps a parts history in Settings > General > About (the “Parts and Service History” section). Depending on the screen type, it may show Genuine, Used, or “Unknown Part.” None of these labels affect how the phone works — display, touch and all functions work normally.

iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Replacement — Seven Quality Levels

The iPhone 16 Pro Max has the largest display in the lineup — 6.9 inches with ProMotion refresh up to 120 Hz, Always-On display and Dynamic Island. When a panel this advanced gets damaged, the quality of the replacement part and the technician's expertise play a decisive role. At Viper Mobile, with exactly 22 years of experience in screen replacement, we offer seven different options for this model — from the most affordable to a completely new factory part.

Overview of Replacement Options

  • InCell — LCD panel, the most affordable option; a noticeable difference in contrast and black depth compared to the factory OLED, 7-day warranty
  • OLED — aftermarket OLED with more accurate color reproduction and better contrast than InCell, 7-day warranty
  • Soft OLED Used — used OLED panel with a softer construction, more resistant to damage than brittle aftermarket versions, 7-day warranty
  • Refurbished original — factory panel that has undergone professional restoration; shows "Unknown" status in iOS settings, 90-day warranty
  • Original — "Unknown" status — original panel without full verification in the system, 90-day warranty
  • Original — "Used" status — original panel paired with the device, showing "Used Apple Part" status in iOS settings, which confirms the authenticity of the component, 90-day warranty
  • Genuine Apple — a completely new factory panel with full compatibility, including True Tone calibration and Face ID, 90-day warranty

With all options, the installation takes from 1 to 3 hours.

Expert Recommendation

If it matters to you that the screen keeps all its factory characteristics — color accuracy with True Tone, flawless Face ID operation and full black depth — we recommend the Original with "Used" status or the Genuine Apple option. For customers whose priority is a quality OLED display at a more affordable installation price, the aftermarket OLED or Soft OLED Used are a solid compromise. Frequently Asked Questions About Screen Replacement

How long does iPhone screen replacement take?

iPhone screen replacement takes 1 to 3 hours depending on the model. Devices brought in before noon are usually ready the same day. For urgent cases, call us to check part availability.

Will I lose my data during iPhone screen replacement?

No. Screen replacement does not affect your data, photos, apps, or settings on your iPhone. We never erase anything and never ask for your unlock code.

What's the difference between original and OLED screens for iPhone?

Original (Genuine Apple) screens show 'Genuine Apple' status in settings, True Tone works automatically. Soft OLED and Hard OLED are quality alternatives at a lower price — True Tone works because we transfer IC data using a programmer tool (free with replacement). Soft OLED also supports ProMotion 120Hz. InCell LCD is a budget option without True Tone, fixed at 60Hz.

Does True Tone work after iPhone screen replacement?

Yes — with both original and OLED screens (Soft OLED, Hard OLED). For OLED screens, we transfer True Tone data from the original screen using a programmer tool, included free with every replacement. Only InCell LCD screens (budget option for older models) do not support True Tone.

What is the warranty on iPhone screen replacement?

Screen replacement carries a 90-day warranty on original and premium panels. The warranty covers material and installation defects. Mechanical damage (drops, impacts) is not covered. Exception: aftermarket InCell and OLED panels carry a 7-day warranty due to panel fragility — they are installed only with the customer's prior consent.
