A screen replacement on iPhone devices is one of the most common repairs in mobile telephony. Whether it is a fall onto concrete, pressure in a pocket or an impact from carelessness, a damaged screen directly affects the usability of the phone. In this article we present the complete screen replacement prices for all current iPhone models, explain the differences between the types of screen and help you make an informed decision.
Why screen replacement prices differ so much
When you look at the price table, you will notice that the range can be as much as tenfold for the same model. The reason is simple — there are different qualities of screen:
Copy — The cheapest option. The screen is produced by third-party manufacturers. The colors may be pale, the touch sensitivity somewhat weaker, and the brightness lower. For older models used as a backup phone, this is an acceptable solution.
OEM quality — The middle option. The screen is produced to original specifications, often on the same production lines, but without Apple certification. The display quality is very close to the original.
Original screen — A factory Apple screen, removed from another device or sourced through authorized channels. Identical quality to the screen that was on the phone. The most expensive option, but with no compromise.

What the screen replacement procedure looks like
A screen replacement at our shop proceeds according to an established procedure:
- Diagnostics — The technician inspects the device and determines the extent of the damage. Sometimes only the top glass layer is damaged (in which case a glass repair is the cheaper option).
- Choosing the screen — We present the available options (copy, OEM, original) with an explanation of the differences.
- Replacement — The technician disassembles the device under controlled conditions, transfers the components from the old screen (the Face ID sensor, the earpiece, the proximity sensor) and mounts the new screen.
- Testing — Checking touch across the whole surface, a brightness test, Face ID functionality and True Tone calibration.
- Warranty — We give a warranty on every installed screen.
The repair time is most often from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the model and parts availability.
Screen replacement or glass repair — which is better
If the screen beneath the glass works correctly — shows the image with no artifacts, touch responds normally — there is a possibility that only the top glass layer is damaged. In that case, a glass repair (OCA lamination) is a significantly cheaper option.

A complete screen replacement is necessary when:
- The screen shows lines, blotches or does not respond to touch
- The LCD/OLED panel is physically cracked (not just the glass)
- There is color "bleeding" or black dots on the screen
Frequently asked questions
Does a screen replacement void the phone's warranty?
A screen replacement outside an authorized Apple service formally voids the Apple warranty. However, most users come for a replacement precisely because their warranty has already expired or because Apple service is not available in Serbia for this type of repair. On the installed screen we give our own warranty.
Does Face ID work after a screen replacement?
Yes, provided the technician correctly transfers the Face ID module from the old screen. This is one of the reasons why it is important for the repair to be done by an experienced technician. At the Viper Mobile shop Face ID functions without a problem after the replacement.
How long does a screen replacement on an iPhone take?
A standard replacement takes between 30 and 60 minutes. For newer models (the iPhone 16, 17 series), the procedure can be somewhat longer due to the more complex construction of the device.
Is a copy screen visibly worse than the original?
The difference exists and is most noticeable in the quality of the colors, the maximum brightness and the touch sensitivity. On newer Pro models the difference is more pronounced because the original OLED panels are of exceptional quality. On older models (iPhone 11, 12), the difference is less noticeable.
Can I wait for the replacement or do I have to leave the phone?
In most cases, the replacement is done while you wait. If it is a more complex repair or we do not have the part in stock, the phone stays at the shop and we contact you as soon as it is ready.
