Samsung Galaxy — The Most Common Faults and Repair Prices for 2026
Samsung Galaxy phones make up a significant part of the devices that pass through our shop every day. From the budget A series to the flagship S and Z models, each line has its own characteristic faults and specifics when it comes to repair. In this article we give an overview of the most common problems with Samsung phones, explain what affects the repair price and list the current prices for all relevant models.
The most common faults by series
Galaxy S series (S22 — S25)
Flagship models are the most technologically advanced, but by that very fact also the most expensive to repair. The most common faults:
Screen damage — AMOLED screens on the S series crack even with relatively mild falls, because the glass covers almost the entire front surface. Curved screens on models before the S25 are especially sensitive to impacts from the side.
Back glass damage — All S models from the S20 onward have a glass back. The replacement is relatively cheap compared to the screen.
Battery degradation — The average lifespan of a Samsung battery is similar to Apple devices — about 2 years of intensive use. The replacement price is between 7,000 and 9,000 dinars depending on the model.
Galaxy A series (A14 — A56)
The A series is the most numerous and most common in our shop. The faults:
Screen damage — LCD screens on the cheaper A models are affordable to replace. AMOLED screens on the A5x series are more expensive, but still considerably cheaper than the S series.
The battery — A-series batteries last a long time thanks to the lower screen resolution and the less demanding processor, but when the time for a replacement comes, the prices are from 6,000 to 8,500 dinars.
The charging port — This is a fault specific to the A series. The USB-C port on budget models wears out faster, especially with users who charge the phone while using it. Replacing the port is a relatively simple repair.
Galaxy Z series (Flip and Fold)
Foldable phones have particular challenges:
The main (inner) screen — This is the most expensive repair on any Samsung phone. Prices for Flip models go up to 48,000 dinars, and for Fold models up to 90,000 dinars for the main screen.
The outer screen — Significantly cheaper, from 11,000 to 20,000 dinars depending on the model.
The hinge — The folding mechanism can start to creak or lose resistance after prolonged use. This is a complex repair that requires replacing the complete mechanism.

Screen replacement or glass repair — what to choose
The same logic applies as with iPhone devices:
- If the screen shows the image normally and touch responds → glass repair
- If there are lines, blotches, black zones or touch does not work → a complete screen replacement
The difference in price is especially pronounced on the S series. For example, a screen replacement on the Galaxy S24 Ultra costs 32,000 dinars, while a glass repair on the same model costs 20,000 dinars — a saving of 12,000 dinars while keeping the original AMOLED panel.

Frequently asked questions
Why are Samsung screens more expensive than iPhone copies, but cheaper than iPhone originals?
Samsung uses its own AMOLED panels, and on the market there is mostly one quality of replacement — the one that comes from the Samsung screen manufacturer. With the iPhone, the difference between a copy and an original is large because Apple uses special specifications. That is why Samsung prices are mostly fixed per model.
Do Samsung phones have a warning after parts replacement like the iPhone?
Samsung does not have as aggressive a system for detecting non-original parts as Apple. After a screen or battery replacement at the shop, the phone functions normally with no system warnings.
How long does a Samsung phone repair take?
A screen replacement takes 30–60 minutes. A battery replacement 20–40 minutes. A glass repair 60–120 minutes. For the Z series (Flip/Fold), repairs can take longer due to the complexity of the construction.
Is it worth repairing older Samsung models (S20, A51)?
It depends on the repair price and the market value of the device. A Galaxy S20 screen replacement costs 30,000 dinars, which is often more than the value of the phone itself on the market. In such cases, a glass repair (14,000 RSD) or selling it as-is can be a more reasonable option. For the A series, screens are affordable (8,000–13,000 RSD) and a repair is almost always worth it.
