Samsung Screen Replacement — A Complete Guide with Prices for 2026
Samsung phone screen replacement is one of the most common questions we deal with every day at the shop. The reason is simple — Samsung uses AMOLED panels that deliver outstanding image quality, but are sensitive to falls and pressure. When the screen cracks, stops responding to touch or shows lines and blotches, the only reliable solution is replacing the complete display.
What most customers want to know above all is the Samsung screen replacement price for specific models, how long the procedure takes and whether original parts are used. In this guide we will give you precise answers to all those questions — from the perspective of a shop that has been repairing Samsung phones every day since 2004.
Before you continue, you can immediately check the price for your model on our price calculator or see the complete offer on the Samsung screen replacement page.
Why Samsung screens require only original parts
On iPhone devices there are several quality tiers of screen — from budget InCell variants to original Apple displays. On Samsung the situation is completely different, and that is something customers often do not know.
The Samsung Galaxy S series, as well as newer A models, use Super AMOLED panels produced by Samsung Display itself. These panels have a specific structure — the organic LED layer is directly laminated onto the digitizer (touch layer) and the protective glass, which makes one inseparable whole. Aftermarket manufacturers simply cannot replicate this technology at a satisfactory level.
That is why at Viper Mobile, for Samsung devices, we use only Original Service Pack displays. These are identical panels that Samsung supplies to its authorized service centers. The difference compared to an authorized service is the price — with us you do not pay the big brand's markup, and you get the same part and the same 90-day warranty.
What Original Service Pack specifically means for you as a user:
- Identical color quality — the same AMOLED panel as the factory one, with full support for the adaptive refresh rate (120Hz on the S21+, S23, S24, S25, S26 series)
- Always-On Display works correctly — aftermarket screens often do not support AOD or show it with artifacts
- The full brightness range — original panels reach 1,500-2,600 nits (depending on the model), while copies rarely exceed 600-800 nits
- In-screen fingerprint sensor — the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor (on the S21, S22, S23, S24, S25, S26 series) requires an original panel for reliable recognition
- Curved edges (edge display) — on Ultra models, the curved AMOLED panel is practically impossible to replicate
One experience from practice: customers who come to us after having a "compatible" Samsung screen installed elsewhere most often complain about pale greenish colors, a faulty fingerprint and the inability to use AOD. Replacing that non-original display with an original one then means a double cost. That is why our recommendation is always clear — with Samsung, the original is the only choice that makes sense.

A few things we notice from practice:
- FE models are significantly more affordable — the Samsung S24 FE, at 11,000 RSD, is almost three times cheaper than the S26 Ultra. That is logical, because the FE (Fan Edition) uses flat AMOLED panels of lower resolution, while Ultra models have curved LTPO panels with QHD+ resolution.
- The S21 and S21+ have the same price — both models use a similar panel architecture, so the Service Pack price is equalized.
- Ultra models are the most expensive — curved screens with integrated S Pen support (on newer Ultra models) are the most technologically demanding to produce.
Note: prices change in line with parts availability. Always check the current price before coming in — our price list is updated regularly.

What the screen replacement process looks like at our shop
Many customers come in with a certain amount of uncertainty — they have never given a phone in for repair before, or they had a bad experience elsewhere. That is why we will explain in detail each step of the Samsung phone screen replacement process at the Viper Mobile shop.
Step 1: Diagnostics and inspection (5-10 minutes)
When you bring the phone in, the technician first does a visual inspection and determines the exact extent of the damage. Sometimes the glass cracks but the screen beneath works perfectly — in that case, instead of a complete screen replacement, a glass repair via OCA lamination is possible, which can save up to 50% of the price. You can read more about that in our guide on glass repair.
If the AMOLED panel is damaged (black blotches, lines across the screen, touch not responding on certain parts), then the only solution is replacing the complete display.
Step 2: Replacing the display (2-3 hours)
The replacement process itself involves:
- Heating and carefully separating the old display from the chassis
- Cleaning the adhesive and preparing the phone frame
- Mounting the new Original Service Pack display
- Lamination and fixing the new panel
- Reconnecting all the connectors (battery, motherboard, sensors)
The whole process takes 2-3 hours for standard models. On Ultra models with curved screens, the job can take somewhat longer due to the precision required to mount the edge panel.
Step 3: Testing (10-15 minutes)
Before we return the phone, we test:
- Touch response on all parts of the screen
- The in-screen fingerprint sensor
- Always-On Display functionality
- Automatic brightness adjustment (the proximity sensor)
- Colors and refresh rate (120Hz scrolling smoothness)
- The Face unlock camera (to make sure the front camera was not damaged during the replacement)
Step 4: Pickup and warranty
You get the phone with a new screen, a fiscal receipt and a 90-day warranty on the installed part and the work. If at any point you notice any irregularity in the screen's operation — let us know and we resolve it at no additional cost.
Cannot come in person? Our courier service picks up and returns phones across the whole territory of Belgrade for 1,500 RSD. Call 065/362-61-31 and we will arrange it.
When a screen replacement is NOT needed — glass repair as an alternative
This is information that can save your budget a significant amount, and most shops will not mention it because they do not have the equipment for this procedure.
If your Samsung phone has fallen and the glass cracked, but the screen beneath still shows the image normally — with no black blotches, no lines, no dead zones on touch — there is a great chance you do not need a complete display replacement. All you need is a glass repair via OCA lamination.
OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive) lamination is a procedure in which:
- The cracked top glass is carefully separated from the AMOLED panel
- The old OCA adhesive is cleaned
- New glass is applied with optically clear adhesive
- The panel is placed in a vacuum lamination machine
- Final processing in an autoclave under pressure
The result is a screen that looks and functions identically to a new one, but at a price that is up to 50% lower than a complete screen replacement. This is our key USP — most shops in Belgrade do not have the equipment for this procedure and automatically recommend replacing the complete display.
An example from practice: a customer brings in a Samsung S23 Ultra with cracked glass, but the AMOLED panel is intact. Instead of replacing the display for 30,000 RSD, with a glass repair the fix costs significantly less, and the result is the same. Call us at 065/362-61-31 and the technician will tell you whether your screen is a candidate for repair or requires a complete replacement.
Common symptoms of Samsung screen damage — what each sign means
Twenty years of working with Samsung phones has taught us to recognize every symptom. Here is what the most common signs of damage mean and what kind of intervention they require:
Green or pink lines across the screen (vertical) This is a classic sign of damage to the AMOLED panel. It appears after a fall, but sometimes also spontaneously on models that have been exposed to pressure in a pocket. It requires replacing the complete display — OCA lamination does not help here.
A black blotch that spreads A leak of liquid crystals inside the AMOLED structure. The blotch usually starts small and spreads over the course of a few days. The sooner you come in, the better — not because we can save the panel (we cannot), but because the spread of the blotch can damage other components too. A screen replacement is needed.
Glass cracked, image perfect, touch works The ideal candidate for OCA lamination. This is the most common scenario we see — the phone fell, the glass cracked into a web, but the panel beneath is intact. If you put off the repair, there is a risk that moisture will get in through the cracks and damage the AMOLED panel, which then requires a more expensive intervention.
The screen flickers or turns off and on It may be a problem with the display flex cable (which sometimes gets damaged in a fall) or with the panel itself. Diagnostics are needed — sometimes it is enough to reconnect the connector, sometimes a screen replacement is necessary.
Touch does not respond on one part of the screen A damaged digitizer — the layer responsible for registering touch. On Samsung AMOLED screens, the digitizer is integrated into the panel, so a complete display replacement is needed.
The screen works but is completely black (the phone rings, vibrates) This often happens with harder falls. The AMOLED panel is interrupted but the phone functions normally. A screen replacement solves the problem completely — all your data remains saved because only the display module is replaced.
If you recognize any of these symptoms, book a repair or call us at 065/362-61-31 — diagnostics are quick and we will tell you exactly what is needed.

Samsung vs iPhone — differences in the approach to screen replacement
Since we specialize in both iPhone and Samsung, we often get the question: why is the approach different with Samsung? Here is a short comparison that will help you understand the specifics.
With the iPhone there are 5 quality tiers of screen — from InCell (budget) through OLED aftermarket variants, refurbished originals, all the way to ORG OEM and Genuine Apple displays. Each tier has its own price and quality, so the customer chooses what suits them. You can read more about that on the iPhone screen replacement page.
With Samsung there is only one tier — Original Service Pack. We explained the reason earlier: Samsung AMOLED technology is too specific to be replicated well. The aftermarket Samsung screens that exist on the market are of such poor quality that no serious shop should offer them.
This means that a Samsung phone screen replacement is on average more expensive than an iPhone screen replacement for the same model class (if the budget option is chosen with the iPhone). But on the other hand, with Samsung you will never have a dilemma about quality — you always get the original.
One more difference: Samsung models have a more varied range of prices. While with the iPhone the difference between the standard and Pro Max model can be 30-50% in the screen price, with Samsung the difference between the S24 FE (11,000 RSD) and the S26 Ultra (32,000 RSD) is almost threefold. FE and standard models are considerably more affordable to repair.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Samsung phone screen replacement cost?
The price of a Samsung phone screen replacement depends on the model. It ranges from 11,000 RSD for the Samsung S24 FE to 32,000 RSD for the Samsung S26 Ultra. All prices include the original Service Pack display, installation and a 90-day warranty. For the exact price of your model, check our price calculator or call 065/362-61-31.
How long does a screen replacement on a Samsung phone take?
A Samsung phone screen replacement at our shop takes 2-3 hours. That time includes disassembling the old display, mounting the new Original Service Pack panel and complete testing of all functions — touch response, the fingerprint sensor, Always-On Display and the camera.
Do you use original Samsung screens?
Yes, exclusively. For Samsung phones we use Original Service Pack displays — identical panels that Samsung supplies to authorized service centers. Aftermarket Samsung screens do not meet our quality standards because they do not correctly support the fingerprint sensor, AOD and the full brightness range.
Can I repair just the glass if the screen beneath works?
In many cases — yes. If the glass has cracked but the AMOLED panel shows the image normally, with no black blotches and no lines, a glass repair via OCA lamination is possible. This intervention can save up to 50% compared to replacing the complete display. Diagnostics are needed for us to confirm whether your phone is a candidate for this procedure.
Do I lose data during a screen replacement?
No. A screen replacement does not affect the phone's memory; your photos, apps and data remain untouched. The phone is not reset, nor is anything deleted — only the display module is replaced. The only situation in which we would recommend a backup is if the screen is completely black and we cannot check the state of the software before the intervention, but that is purely a precaution.
Do you give a warranty on a screen replacement?
Yes, on every screen replacement we give a 90-day warranty with a fiscal receipt. The warranty covers all display defects that are not the result of mechanical damage — so if you notice dead pixels, a problem with touch response or any irregularity in the screen's operation, let us know and we resolve it at our expense.
Can I send my phone by courier?
Yes, our courier service covers all of Belgrade. The price of picking up and returning the phone is 1,500 RSD. Call 065/362-61-31, we will arrange a pickup time, and we return the phone the same way after the repair.
Why are Z Fold screens so expensive?
The Z Fold uses an Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) flexible panel that is extremely complicated to produce. It is literally glass that bends — a technology that costs. Plus, the replacement requires completely dismantling the phone, so the work is longer too.
Does glass repair affect water resistance?
Water resistance is compromised the moment the phone is opened, regardless of whether it is a complete screen replacement or a glass repair. We recommend not testing water resistance after any repair.
Do you do screen replacement on the Note series?
Yes. The Note series (Note 8, 9, 10, 20) is fully supported. Prices for a complete screen replacement range from 22,000 RSD to 36,000 RSD, depending on the model.
Conclusion — do not put off a screen replacement
A cracked Samsung phone screen is not just an aesthetic problem. Every crack is a potential entry point for dust and moisture that can damage the AMOLED panel and other components, turning a relatively simple repair into a significantly more expensive intervention.
Our recommendation is always the same: come in for diagnostics as soon as possible. You may not need a complete screen replacement at all — if the panel is intact, OCA glass lamination solves the problem for half the money. And if a replacement is needed, with us you get an original Samsung Service Pack display, installation in 2-3 hours and a 90-day warranty.
