Screen replacement is necessary in the following situations:

• Broken glass + damaged display — black spots, lines on the screen, or parts of the screen not responding to touch. In this case, a full screen replacement is required.
• Cracked glass only, display still working — if the screen displays the image normally and responds to touch, glass repair (OCA lamination) is possible, which is up to 50% cheaper than a full screen replacement.
• Ghost touch — the screen responds on its own, opens apps, types letters. The cause is usually a damaged touch digitizer, requiring a screen replacement.
• Green/pink lines — a common issue with OLED screens (especially Samsung Galaxy S series). Resolved by replacing the screen.

iPhone Screens — Types and Quality

For iPhone, we offer several screen types at different prices and quality levels. This is a key difference between repair shops — many offer only one type and don't explain the difference. Which types are available depends on the model.

1. InCell (most affordable)

LCD (not OLED) with integrated touch. Works fine, but with lower contrast than OLED. iOS shows “Unknown Part”.

2. OLED (aftermarket)

A true OLED display with deep blacks, but not an Apple original and it does not pass Apple configuration — iOS shows “Unknown Part”. A good balance of price and quality.

3. Soft OLED Used

A quality aftermarket OLED that passes Apple configuration — iOS shows it as “Used”, with no warning. Cheaper than original-type screens.

4. Original — iOS: Unknown / Used

An original-type panel. The Used variant passes Apple configuration (True Tone works, no “non-genuine” warning). The Unknown variant does not pass configuration, so iOS shows “Unknown Part”, but display and touch work normally and the price is lower.

5. Genuine Apple (premium)

A genuine Apple part. Settings shows Genuine, no warning. Top quality at the highest price.

OCA Lamination — A Cheaper Alternative to Screen Replacement

If only your glass is cracked and the display underneath is working, OCA lamination is a process that replaces only the top glass. Savings can be up to 50% compared to a full screen replacement.

OCA lamination is only possible when:

• The display shows the image normally (no spots, lines, or black zones)
• The touch screen responds correctly
• Only the top protective glass is damaged

How Long Does a Screen Replacement Take?

Screen replacement takes 1-3 hours, and 2-3 hours on Samsung models. The process includes:

1. Free diagnostics and assessment
2. Disassembly of the phone under controlled conditions
3. Screen replacement and calibration
4. Testing of all functions (touch, True Tone, Face ID, camera)
5. Handover with a warranty

Warranty on Replaced Screens

Genuine screens come with a 90-day warranty, InCell and OLED with 7 days. The warranty covers:

• Display defects (spots, dead pixels, lines)
• Touch screen issues
• Glass separating from the display

The warranty does not cover physical damage (a new drop, pressure, water contact). Exception: InCell and OLED panels carry a 7-day warranty due to panel fragility — they are only installed with the customer's prior consent.

Any reputable repair shop provides a warranty. A "verbal warranty" or "promise warranty" is worth nothing. At Viper Mobile, you receive up to 90 days warranty depending on screen type (InCell/OLED 7 days) for every replaced screen.

Screen Protection After Replacement

After a screen replacement, we recommend protecting your new screen. We offer a hydrogel film for 2,000 RSD that perfectly conforms to the shape of the screen, or classic tempered glass. Installation takes 5 minutes and can be done immediately after your screen replacement.

We also recommend a quality case — especially for phones without rear glass protection. A case combined with a hydrogel film or tempered glass significantly reduces the risk of damage again.
